My trip to the Asian Market Place… May 11, 2008

As Nathan and I were walking home from a Mexican restaurant, we decided to go into the Asian market place. We had never been in this store before, and I had a craving for Botan rice candy. Well, one of the smells that makes me gag no matter what, is the smell of any kind of sea food, or fish. That was the first thing I smelled when I went inside. Well, my nose adjusted to the smell, after 10 minutes. I got some Botan rice candy, some fancy chopsticks, some green tea, some red bean buns, and some duck flavored ramen noodles (Nathan is a carnivore). I also discovered food that I have not seen before. Some of it sounded delicious (green tea cookies, and guava tea). Then there was some stuff that I couldn’t fathom eating. An example would be the bag of dried mini crabs covered in sesame seeds. I took some pictures of the little adventure.

This was the aisle dedicated to ramen noodles.

There were flavors I never knew existed.

These are the canned quail eggs. I just can’t fathom

canned eggs. I should investigate this more, and see

what they are normally served with.

Ok, bamboo caterpillar…

Has anyone had this, if so what is your opinion?

I am in gag mode right now.

This picture is blurry. It is the bag of dried crabs.

I still don’t know if you boil these in water and serve with noodles,

or if you eat them like crackers.

This final picture is of Nathan. He found some play money. So he

decided to act like he was in a hip hop video. His face is priceless.

I should have photo shopped some gold grills.

A dream about Jerry… May 10, 2008

Filed under: Dream, Dreams and their meanings — renazzle @ 2:20 pm

I had a dream that I was trying to reconnect with Jerry, like that ghost girl did in “The Lovely Bones.”
Which was weird because I am alive, and he is dead.
So I hook up with him, and all of the sudden he isn’t a ghost anymore.
He is alive all over again. He and I hang out want watch movies, I fall asleep on the couch. He goes to sleep on the bed, and leaves me on the couch. (Off subject but the living room I was in was like the apartment we were supposed to move into a week before he died)
When he wakes up, I ask him why he did that, and he said.
I haven’t been around since 2000. I need to adjust. A lot has changed.
I said “Yeah, Clinton was still president before you died.” He went to get dressed, he had a cool hat and matching jacket. The hat kind of looked like this, but a different pattern…

We were about to leave, when all of the sudden we were in his parent’s house.
His mom and dad had not aged since 2000. It was really weird.
Jerry realized he didn’t have any cash, and he said “Do you have 10 bucks? I need to fill the car up.” I told him gas was now $3.50 a gallon, and he looked at me and said “You have got to be joking.”
We got in his car and drove away.

Of course, this isn’t the whole dream. There was more. I got to tell Jerry everything I never got the chance to tell him.
That is something, I wouldn’t share with anyone. Especially in a blog.

This dream is weird on too many levels.
1.Sex was involved, I have never had that kind of a dream about
him, because he is dead, and that would be creepy.
2. I brought him back to life. Most of my dreams involve him being incarcerated and I break him out of jail. In my dreams I never acknowledge he is dead, until this one.
3.The apartment we never moved into- I never had a dream about that place before or after he died.

It was like I brought him back, and we were where things left off. Except, the world around us was not the way it was.
I always feel bummed out after a dream with him. I didn’t feel as bummed this time. I don’t know if my dream was closure, or if I have changed.

I miss him, but my heart doesn’t feel broke anymore. This dream was everything I wished I could do in real life in the past.
I have accepted that I could never do that, and I moved on.
Maybe this dream happened because I was ready to experience the feeling of having him back.
If I would have had this dream a couple years ago, I would have been depressed and pining for him for WEEKS.
I had this dream last night, and I woke up and felt OK with where I am at now. I know he is at peace too, and maybe we will meet again in the next life .

If you like chocolate, and you like cake, then you might want to try this recipe out.

What you will need (besides ingredients)
1 electric mixer
1 oven
1 bundt pan
1 pair of oven mitts

Ingredients:
4 eggs
1 cup sour cream
1/2 cup water
1/2 cup oil
8oz cherry liqueur*
1 package devils food cake mix
1 package dark chocolate instant pudding
12 ounces cherry chips*
It can be hard to find Cherry chips. There is a store online that sells them, just visit the link below.
Back To The Country Store.

*Note- This doesn’t have to be Cherry!
If you want an Orange Chocolate cake- Use Orange Liqueur, and cut up a Terry’s Chocolate orange in to tiny pieces (roughly around the size of a chocolate chip) and add that instead of Cherry chips.

Raspberry Chocolate cake?- Use Chamboard liqueur instead, and use raspberry extract*** and 12 oz of white chocolate chips Or get a terry’s dark chocolate raspberry orange. (It doesn’t have orange flavor).

Plain old Chocolate Chocolate cake? You can use Kahlua instead, or a chocolate liqueur (the Kahlua is recommended however), and 12 oz of Chocolate chips

*** Try one teaspoon of the extract when mixing, if it doesn’t taste strong enough add another teaspoon, and try again.

Directions:
Preheat oven to 350f.
Grease the bundt pan with butter or Crisco.
Beat eggs, sour cream, water, liqueur and oil together in a large bowl until thoroughly mixed. Add cake mix and pudding mix. Beat until smooth. Stir in cherry chips. Pour into bundt pan
Bake for one hour.

One more thing-
You do not need icing or frosting for this cake. It is going to be very rich, and very sweet. If you must decorate it, I suggest something light, like rainbow sprinkles on the top.

Moving on up… May 8, 2008

Long story short. I lived in Colorado. I met a boy. Boy lived in Kansas. I moved to Kansas to be with him.

I hate Kansas more than anything. Now boy and I are moving to Colorado.

I am pretty excited about this. I already signed a lease on an apartment in Colorado.

I leave in 21 days.

That picture is my new apartment. I haven’t seen it in person yet.

My sister had to take all kinds of pictures and email them to me.

I trust my sister’s judgment.

Bob Meehan on the news in Phoenix… April 11, 2008

I should try and explain first. I lived in Greeley, CO. There was a center there that he was responsible for. It was disguised as a coffee shop called “Peers.” The big hook was free video games. What better way to lure in young teenagers? This place had all the ingredients of a cult.

Well, basically Meehan got exposed.

So, I found this little site called My mini city. Basically, you name your mini city, and chose a country for it. Every time anyone clicks on it, it grows. So I want to see how big my city can get.
I am posting the link to my city on here. If anyone actually reads this blog, then I guess my city might thrive.

WELCOME TO RENAZZLELAND!!!

Oh, you can build cities too, if anyone does build a city, let me know and I will visit your city as well.

Futuro November 4, 2007

One of my favorite homes would have to be the Futuro Home.
It was designed by Matti Suuronen in the late 60s, and early 70s. The entire home is made out of Plastic, Fiber glass and polyester.
The construction for these homes stopped in the 70’s, due to the cost of gasoline tripling during the Oil Crisis. This made the production costs for the plastic increase drastically.
There is a fan site you can check out at www.futuro-house.net to see more pictures.
